Meet Dr. Daniel Shaye

Carrying on the Family Tradition

Dr. Daniel Shaye profileDr. Daniel Shaye grew up around chiropractic. His uncle, Saul, was a chiropractor. His father, Dr. Nat Shaye, benefitted from Dr. Saul Shaye’s care, inspiring Dr. Nat to become a chiropractor too. As a young man, the younger Daniel Shaye (our current Dr. Shaye) didn’t rely on pills if he had a headache or an injury. Instead, his dad would adjust him and the need for pills would be gone.

At The College of William and Mary, Dr. Shaye attempted the 70+ mile weeks and other rigors required to run Division I track and cross country. The considerable and rapid increase in stress led to inevitable injuries. “The trainers would tape me up and send me back. I’d hurt something else, and they’d put more tape on. I thought I’d start looking like a mummy!” Once again, his father fixed him up without the use of drugs and surgery.

It’s a joy to help people, empowering them to live better lives. Assisting people in a meaningful way is exciting and very satisfying.

An interest in the human body and serving others led Dr. Shaye to follow a pre-medical track, with a major in philosophy and minor in biology. Next, he pursued a chiropractic education by enrolling at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated salutatorian magna cum laude in 1996 and promptly began practicing in Williamsburg.
