Dr. Nat Shaye
Has enjoyed photography since his early teens. First camera was a box camera, a Voigtlander, which Dr. Nat bought
in a pawn shop in the ‘50’s for $16 (now a museum piece but still works). Discovered digital photography in
2000. Enjoys photos of frogs, toads, butterflies plus gorgeous flowers and beautiful sunsets, and interesting people. Some
of his pictures grace our clinic walls. Has always enjoyed organic vegetable gardening. There is nothing like rolling up one’s
sleeves & digging in the dirt. Finds the process of little almost-invisible seeds (like lettuce) growing into yummy large
plants fascinating. Plays clarinet (played 8 years in the 40-piece York River Concert Band). Enjoys reading; a favorite topic
has been Science Fiction (Sci-Fi). Grew up in Brooklyn NY & read every Sci-Fi book in 3 libraries (some twice since new
ones weren’t coming out fast enough). Has started singing bass in a 5-10 member vocal group (the numbers keep varying).
Speaks French (& hopes to improve it). Enjoyed both engineering & medicine in college which led him into bio-medical
engineering (has 3 patents) which naturally led into Chiropractic. Still has 2 old slide rules (still work & need no electricity
or batteries) from his engineering days. Enjoys making puzzles and building balsa wood model airplanes with rubber band engines.

Dr. Daniel Shaye
Dr. Shaye attended Hampton Roads Academy (Class of 1986), where he was captain of the cross-country team his senior
year and lettered in varsity track, cross country, and basketball. He reads a little Hebrew; and speaks and comprehends some
French and even less Swahili.
At the College of William & Mary (B.A. 1990), he majored in philosophy and minored
in biology. He has run over 27,000 miles, which means he's on his second lap of the earth. He has some training in ballroom
dance. He enjoys swimming, as well as worrying his parents when he attempts (so far successfully) open water distance swims.
He enjoys nature very much, including the forest, wildlife, and aquatic environments. He played the violin as a boy; and has
forgotten almost all of it, to the great dismay of his mother.
Favorite creature: The frog. Hates cold weather.
Loves heat and humidity. Has this in common with frogs, interestingly enough. Hero: Dr. Seuss' The Lorax. Favorite foods:
Lasagna, chocolate, ice cream, seafood, fresh fruit. Can't stand brussel sprouts. Enjoys reading, good movies, crackling
fires, walks under the stars. He has never smoked, nor even tried an illegal drug. Drinks about a thimble-full of alcohol
each year, saying, "Why drink alcohol when there's chocolate?"

Miss
Brenda, as she is known at Performance Chiropractic, has been at the helm for 27+ years. Her interests include needlepoint,
knitting, sewing, and reading. She enjoys working in her flower garden and grows herbs for salads and cooking. Traveling
is one of her pastimes.
Since 1982 she has sung with the Virginia Choral Society. In her “spare”
time she enjoys teaching piano to young and old. Her two children (Naomi and Daniel) are grown, yet these days she has
the opportunity to serve in a new nurturing role: Grandma. When she gets the chance, as she puts it, "My knitting fingers
are busy."

Connie and husband Chris returned to the Williamsburg area after working for twenty
two years for Saudi Aramco, an oil company in Saudi Arabia. As a lover of the arts, and William & Mary alumna, Connie
attends all the theatre, music and dance performances the College has to offer. She is a soloist with the Virginia Choral
Society and appears with the Williamsburg Players and All Things Bright and Beautiful theatre companies as an actor/singer
as often she can convince a director to cast her. She plays perfectly dreadful piano when no one is around to hear (hopefully). In the struggle towards physical fitness, Connie practices yoga, walks, swims and dabbles at golf.
